Perhaps We Should Recognize the Foolishness

Perhaps we should recognize the foolishness
Of expecting someone to behave better
Than he has yet been taught.

But to do so may well be
To behave better than we ourselves
Have been taught.

And that, my friends
Is our glorious option.
