Let’s face it:
Whatever level of stupid it takes
To make you cringe—
To make you want to walk away
From the one being stupid—
There are certainly some who
Are quite comfortable
Living and operating
At that level.
And similarly, there may be some
Who are accustomed
To operating at a higher level
Than the one at which you yourself
Are comfortable.
Stupid comes in many degrees.
And I don’t suppose there’s one among us
Who has put it off completely
In every area of life.
