It is not hard to disagree
With a perfectly good idea.
All my friends do it regularly!
And while that may sound
Tongue-in-cheek,
It is.
But it’s also true—
Quite true, actually—
That we can all be slow to learn.
We can look a good idea
Right in the face for years
And never realize the truth in it.
And this is a very sad thing about us.
Very sad, indeed.
But I am still not convinced
That we have to be
Like that.
I think we could do better.
And this,
Perhaps,
Is a perfectly good idea.
