To explore and test the truth of a matter
For the wonder of truth itself.
The rest are so invested in their beliefs—
And the beliefs of their friends and institutions—
That they’re not completely free to
Consider anything new.
They would have to get permission,
And everybody knows it’s much easier
Just to skip it and remain as they are.
