It’s interesting how much energy
Some will expend in pretending
That no one could be so evil as to
Do today’s evil deeds on purpose.
They’ll believe it could be result of
Mental miscalculation, perhaps,
But not of moral miscalculation.
There is no room in their worldview
For wickedness.
Nor do they even hold the thinker
Accountable for his thinking errors.
