What would it be like
If all the sin were suddenly to stop?
All the lies and greed.
All the fraud and injustice.
All the pride and irresponsibility for self.
The carelessness and lack of love.
The theft of money and goods and
Credit for things others have done.
The constant twist and spin that won’t
Let the truth be the truth,
And all the irresponsible ignoring that goes with it.
What would it be like
If we were not like this?
And what does it say about us that so very few
Are even interested enough in such a life
That they would look forward to
Spending a little time
Thinking it over?
