It is Nothing for You

It is nothing for you
To enter by the exit
Or to drive the wrong way
Or to park across two spaces.

It is nothing for you
To break in line
Or to trample the treasured lawn
Or the golden silence.

But some have learned—
During their sojourn
In this troubled world—
Both the beauty
And the kindness
Of good order.

And they would not think of
Encroaching as you do.

Perhaps they are onto something.
