What is greed if not the lust for more
Than what is rightfully yours?
And what is ambition if not the drive
For power, success, fame, or wealth
That is either gained unjustly,
Or exercised beyond one’s rights?
And what is pride if not the view of oneself
In excess of the reality thereof?
All three want to get at something more
Than what is right and true.
They are restless wanderers
On this Earth.
