He desperately needs my help
With errands from time to time,
As he’s sick, can’t hold a job,
And has neither car nor phone.

And besides that,
It has become quite obvious that
He also desperately needs me
To tell him the truth about his
Over-the-top insensitivity to others,
His immense sense of entitlement,
And his constant gaslighting.

And now that he knows
I will faithfully help with both,
He does without all of it
And finds some other way
To get his errands done.

And I doubt he explains his choices
To himself the same way
I have explained them to you.
