Someday, after we have cleaned the garage
And fixed the old lawnmower—
After we’ve taken the kids to the Grand Canyon
And fixed up the old family photo album—
When things settle down after that
And we’ve caught up on the knitting
And finish entering our recipes into the book—
Let us get together gladly, you and I,
And pour through the scriptures
To examine these things we’ve been pondering—
What is it, four things now? Five maybe?
And we will revel in his Word and soak it all in,
And we will be filled with good things, indeed!
