She leads with logic
In this case she is making—
As if believing
(And expecting quite naturally to be agreed with by all)
That valid logic is authoritative,
And ought rightfully
To rule the day.

But having thus got
The attention of her audience,
She springs the bait and switch,
Leaping from sound premises
Into quite the irrational conclusion.

And when someone in her
Logic-respecting audience
Catches the switch
And points it out,
It becomes apparent
They had gotten
The wrong impression,
And that sound reasoning
Is not among the lady’s
Fundamental paradigms
After all.
