It is perhaps the stupidest ploy
Of unruly humans
To pretend that the character of God
Was transformed from
The Old Covenant to the New,
Such that afterward,
He was no longer adamant
About judging man according to
What man does.

To maintain such a position,
One would have to ignore
Or spin the texts of the Bible
A great many times.

And interestingly,
Many do exactly that,
As if expecting that God
Will not take issue with it.
