OK, please be honest.

What kind of person—
Knowing nothing of it in advance,
And sitting down to read the Bible
For the first time—
Would decide at the conclusion
That the proper response to the story
Is to get up and build a holy building?

If no such idea is sparked
From the holy story,
Then from where do so many get it,
But from people who have
Missed the fact that God was—
From the very beginning—
In the people-building business?

And please be honest again.

What kind of person
Would miss that?
