Pardon me for bring up the difference
In a world that would rather pretend
There is none, but I need to know
When you say “love”, what kind you mean.

Do you mean the love that is aimed at
Making us happy for now?
Or do you mean the kind that is aimed
At getting us ready to live with God
Forever and ever and ever.

Many seem to talk about the latter,
As if they’re really doing something special,
When really, they’re just doing the former
And talking big about it.
